In Pokémon GO you can pay for pretty much everything: Pokeballs, most consumer goods, for the optics of your avatars. What is new, however, is that you can pay for the improvement of a mechanics that felt only in the hands of the developers in the six years since the release of Pokémon Go: The Shiny chance. This has nothing to do with pay2win, Especially not in a game that you can play primarily solo. But that may show deep how much (more desperate?) Energy the people from Niantic absolutely want to sell the tickets for the Pokémon Go Fest 2022.
more Shinys - in Pokémon Go anyway
With the Shinys this is one thing in Pokémon Go, because in the game, dazzling versions of your favorite pocket monsters are much more common than in the games of the main series. One or the other fan is already angry because this fact makes Shinys appear a little less valuable. At this point, however, the value is purely subjective, because you have no advantage in the game if you play with the Shiny version of a Pokémon.
Nevertheless: the more rare is available, the less valuable it feels when you get this rare 1. Remember that the Supreme brand would appear far less exclusive if the manufacturers would flood the market with their objects. Shinys are something exclusive, and this exclusivity should not be found on every street corner... It's just stupid that we can theoretically find these Shinys on every street corner. We have no influence on whether our next Pokémon will be a Shiny or not whether a dazzling hatch from the next egg.
So far, the Niantics Shiny opportunities, may be targeting rare exceptions. There is the usual normal shiny chance from 1 to 500 for frequent wilderness spawns and a suspected shiny chance of 1 to 64 for rare wilderness spawns-because they are less common in the wilderness. Similar differentiations apply to eggs. Depending on the rarity of the respective Pokémon in Raids, the chance is 1 to 64 to 1 to 20. Event-based Shiny chances are usually 1 to 25, for example at the Community Day or at events such as... yes, usually as with Pokémon Go.
Before we devote ourselves to the festival, it should be said: Many Pokémon fans already feel Community Days as a devaluation for the respective Shiny Pokémon. This is particularly visible to Community Days too rare Pokémon, for example on the CD for barely alad. The Drache-Pokémon usually does not spawn very often in the wilderness and if you had a Shiny in front of the community, you could feel a little more like a special snowflake than after the ** community day when Shiny at a dozen was pushed out cheaper. I understand these feelings, even when it comes to a purely cosmetic effect.
more Shinys - if you buy the ticket
Back to the Pokémon Go Fest 2022. The advantages of the event ticket are explicitly noted: "In the event period, there is an increased opportunity to counter dazzling Pokémon in the wilderness and when using smoke. On Saturday, this chance is higher than on on Saturday Sunday." It may always have been the case, possibly that was never so concrete. The fact is now, officially, that you can pay for more Shinys. There are definitely a lot of players who are happy about it. But there will also be one or the other criticism.
I personally feel this explicit highlighting of this payment feature of the Pokémon GO Fest 2022 as a despair to attract primarily casuals. After the ticket to the Johto tour had not seemed so attractive, the Go Fest 2022 must be directed. Do you think that it will be possible?
