Unveiled at the E3 2021, Turtle Beach's Xbox Recon joystick aroused some craze in the industry in recent weeks because it has won numerous "Best of E3" awards. A look at this occupied controller and you can see why. It is full of features, the number of buttons is breathtaking and it has all that some of the high-end Xbox controllers have.
It is available in black or white, but the best part is that it comes with a relatively cheap PDSF of $ 59.95. It is a stellar price and it will be launched today, August 1, 2021. We put the controller to the test over the last two weeks and so far, everything is fine. The Recon controller has unique functionality and although we are not foolish because it is a wired controller, this bad boy still has a ton of things to do.
Here are the elements that really marked us:
OK I understand. It seems ridiculous and I was very skeptical, but to my surprise, the Superhuman Hearing function actually works. Quite well in fact. For games like Black Ops: Cold War, Fortnite and enhancing where it is essential to hear your environment, this parameter is a life buoy. Literally. To be able to hear all these silent not and recharge the weapons is amazing. I plugged in my SteelSeries and Oh baby helmet, you can really notice a difference when Superhuman Hearing is enabled. Think about it as a sound in the steroid game. It's so perceptible.
The Recon controller feels good in your hands. Much of the merit returns to ergonomic cooling handles. The micro-cooling channels and its general shape have kept my hands cool. I tend to have moist and greasy mittens when I play shooting games, so it's good to use a controller that helps keep my hands dry. It is also a lighter controller than the one I am used to, but this is mainly due to the fact that the batteries do not increase it. It's a wired joystick after all.
In addition to the easy access audio controls such as equalizer presets, the mixing of the game volume and chat and micro monitoring, all located on the controller side, the recon comprises two mapping buttons. They allow up to four different switchable profiles. You can also adjust the handle sensitivity, which can help your sniper game. These are fantastic customizable stuff that you do not usually see in a $ 60 controller, and I love it.
The 10-foot cord is perfect for me. Of course, 15 feet would be a bit more ideal and would give me just a little more soft. But the braided cable is high quality, durable and reaches 10 feet until my sofa. So, the cord works perfectly for me. The connected 3.5 mm headset is also fantastic. If you are someone like me and you have a little too much helmet, the 3.5mm connection offers you many options with a variety of helmets. It's good to know that you do not need to own a Turtle Beach helmet to enjoy fantastic features like Superhuman Hearing.
I love the way I can lower your eyes and just lower the volume of the game or my microphone by simply pressing clear buttons. I do not need to play with my headsets or helmet. Of course, this can make a fairly busy controller with so many buttons to navigate. Of course, it's a little too much, but I love the "one-stop shop" approach for everything I need when I play any game.
