Call of Duty: Vanguard's The Focus of World War II can be one that has been used several times in previous games, but the new Call of Duty game has some new multiplayer experiences that have not been previously seen, such as the new mode of Patrol game. It is a more unique experience based on objectives that is inspired by similar game modes learning, and it is one that could end up being a new favorite when vanguardia launches.
During a practical preview with _ vanguardia_ in the multiplayer environment, ComicBook.com was able to experience the new patrol mode over several games. Not all those games were played inside the patrol mode, but those who showed be more fun than many other types of call of duty modes that focus on objectives.
The patrol is based on Hardpoint game mode, a game mode similar to the headquarters itself. Hardpoint's matches consist of a team that blocks an objective to earn points until the location of the objective expires and moves to another location. This ensures that players have to move around the map instead of strengthening a position.
However, the problem with that is that the players end up curing up at multiple locations on the map as the point moves instead of staying in an area all the time. The campaign and highly defensive measures still prevail, although with a little travel time between configurations.
That's where Patrol enters to change things. The patrol has a permanent area in which to stay to earn points, but that goal moves slowly on the map as a focus instead of instantly teleporting somewhere else. This means that if you want to earn points for your computer, you must actively stay within your limits while moving with it.
While one could assume that the constant movement makes things chaotic, actually put them quite tense. The circular goal is moved quite slowly, which means that players should actively concentrate on staying within their limits instead of running at their side. This results in slow walks, whether standing or crouched, while looking constantly enemies. If the target travels on irregular terrain, you must make quick decisions about what route to take if you want the points to continue flowing.
That is the experience for those who are inside the circle, but for those who are outside and need to resquue it, they are in a much better position to do it in Patrol instead of Hardpoint or Headquarters. Because the objective is in constant movement, defensive fortifications are much less formidable in this mode. Any defense placed in one place is essentially invalidated in a few seconds once the target moves, which makes it appear that you can always achieve a comeback whenever you can prepare the adequate ambush to achieve the target.
Call of Duty: Vanguard also has a Champion Hill mode that is totally new in this game, but we have not seen much of that. That will change soon when the beta version of the game begins.
Call of Duty: Vanguard is scheduled to launch on November 5.
