A Total War Saga: Troy - Mythos could go out on September 2, but the Total War team has already published some major teasers for the three main mythological monsters that will be available for the player.
According to a gameplay video presentation, the main way to recruit monsters will be to capture them through fighting or events such as diplomacy. For example, you can combine with a group of minotaures with the risk of problems in the future. That being said, there are three major battles for three of the greatest and most wicked monsters of Greek mythology: the Hydra, Cerber and Patriarch Griffin.
The most emblematic monster is the hydra of Lerne, which is the best known in the history of Hercules. In one of its twelve tasks, Hercules killed a venomous hydra that could regenerate his heads. In the game, the toxic trait of the hydra is underlined, the battle takes place in a poisoned marsh and against an army of hydra culticals on the theme of the poison. Once vanquished, the hydra will be a powerful combat ally because it can improve your army with exciting traits like inflicting poison damage to all combat allies.
Cerberus is the other infamous monster of the game. As a watchdog on the doors of the underground world, Cerberus will oppose you on a field of burning battle with his army of shadows. Cerberus will order even the power of Hades, which means that it will be able to invoke burning explosions of the earth and to invoke shadows. Capture Cerberus will allow you to recruit shadows and give your military army and Cerberus more force more you kill souls.
The last but not the least seems to be an original monster, the Griffin patriarch. To defeat the griffin, you have to fight an army of Arimaspoi, or a tribe associated with the griffins, as well as an army of small graws. Capturing the Griffon patriarch will allow you to recruit Arimaspoi and your gradown buildings.
